DECORATING DETAILS
Hang those cobwebs!COBWEB TABLE - Drape table with spider webbing making the table look as if it is covered in cowbwebs throw a couple of plastic spiders around on it. Don't be afraid to cover plates and cups too. NAPKIN RING - String together black and orange gumdrops, candy corns, or jelly beans with a strong thread, make desired length, loop and tie together for a decorative yet edible napkin ring.
SPOOKY ATMOSPHERE - Add to the night. For an eerie steaming jackolantern carve pumkin and put a can 1/2 full of hot salt water in the center then drop dry ice in the can. You can also add a flashlight in the pumpkin.
NO MORE SHRINKING PUMPKINS - a unique way to carve a jackolantern is to cut a hole in the bottom of the pumpkin, discard bottom. Place the candle on a plate or pie tin and light it, set the pumpkin over the top of buring candle. This stops the lid from shrinking, falling in and snuffing out the candle.
TRICK OR TREAT - Set up a booth at your front door when the kids come to the door they are handed fishing poles and have to fish for their treat.
TOYS ARE TREATS - Remember kids love to get toys just as much as candy and the moms, dads and dentists like it too. You can always buy in bulk little kid, rings, fangs, whistles, barretts, pencils, erasers, plastic toys that will also bring smiles to your goblins faces. Or even a toothbrush. That would be a great thing to have in their stash along with all their candy.
**SAFETY** To keep kids visible have them wear a orange bike reflector. Take a permanent black marker and draw a pumpkin on it. Or pick up an arm badge that reflects for .99 at your local Kmart or Walmart.
